How to Make Exercise Work for You

As you’ve no doubt discovered by reading my book “Homeless to Billionaire: The 18 Principles of Wealth Attraction and Creating Unlimited Opportunity,” I love staying active. I prioritize it, whether that is going on a hiking adventure, or just going to the gym. I’ve discovered many benefits of staying active and keeping fit.

Life can become so busy that we often put ourselves on the back burner. Staying fit is a practice of self-love that ensures you are being taken care of, both physically and mentally. When you take care of your body with exercise and a good, healthy diet, you are also strengthening your mind, making you more receptive to attracting wealth and new opportunities into your life.

However, many of us have difficulty making exercise a part of our daily routine. Some of us blame our busy schedules, while some of us just can’t find the motivation to stay fit.

Mix It Up

Exercise doesn’t need to be going to a class or lifting weights at the gym. It can be joining a team sport and attending practice and games each week. If you’re not a big fan of sports, perhaps there is a beautiful garden on your way home from work. Take the time to stop by the park, and walk around the gardens for thirty minutes, allowing you to decompress from the day and let all the stress leave your body before you make it home to your family.

A Winning Combo

Maybe you’ve always wanted to be a yoga teacher. By taking steps to achieve this dream, you’re not only exercising but dedicating your time to both being physically active and fulfilling a business dream. Make exercise work for you, so that when you take the time out of your day to do something physical that will benefit you, it is also helping you achieve what you want, whether that is more friends, your black belt in Taekwondo, or the certification you need to lead an exercise class.

Enjoy the Results

There are countless benefits of exercise. Once you get in the habit of being more active, exercising both your body and mind, you’ll find that obtaining your goals is easier. Enjoy being better prepared for life’s challenges and for focusing your mind on finding creative solutions. You’ll also have the energy and determination already built into your body to withstand life’s trials that arise when you journey toward success. Envisioning your goals will be easier and you’ll have more clarity. You’ll be able to see yourself succeeding now, wrapped in all the positive feelings you get from being successful. You’ll be able to physically work harder and longer to achieve those goals faster because you’ll have built up stamina from exercising, and, on a biological level, you’re releasing many feel-good hormones that are going to propel you further toward success.

No matter what kind of exercise or physical activity you decide to start, my best advice is to never stop or give up. Life will always be busy. There is never a perfect time to start something new. It all comes down to just doing it, making it a priority, and staying in the habit of practicing self-love. When you put yourself first, you can stay healthy and happy. Life will continue to change around you but never cut exercise from your life to save a little bit of time in your day. Remember: You don’t have to go to the gym every day. A simple walk home will be enough to keep you on the path to improving yourself and succeeding in life.
