I Challenge You! Go Ahead and Prove my 18 Principles Wrong

When I finished writing my book, Homeless to Billionaire: The 18 Principles of Wealth Attraction and Creating Unlimited Opportunity, I only wanted two things: First, for people to read my book, and second, for others to prove my 18 principles wrong. You may think it’s odd that I want my readers to invalidate my life lessons and the values I stand for, but I have a good reason.

Why I Want You to Disprove My 18 Principles

As you know, I found myself living on Phuket’s beaches after making my way to the island from Sweden with just $100 in my pocket. Homeless, hungry, broke and too proud to ask my family for help, I reached out to friends and owed money to almost everyone I knew. One day, I called a friend back in Sweden and asked him to help me so I could find myself a cheap room. He said he would not give me any money but instead, would send me a book. His response was far from what I’d hoped for, and frankly, I was disappointed. However, I politely thanked him for his offer.

At first, I was upset and angry that all he could offer was a book when I knew he could help me out financially. A little while later, I realized that reading a book could help me pass the time while I sat on the beach with nothing else to do.

For those of you who have read “The Secret: The Law of Attraction” by Rhonda Byrne, you would expect that I’d have had an epiphany right there and then on the beach and that the book would have been the turning point in my life. However, that’s not what happened. “Unrealistic” and “garbage” were the first thoughts I had after reading it. I was still mad at my friend, so I took my anger out on the book and set out to prove its theories wrong.

I Tried to Disprove Visualization

One of the teachings in the book is “visualize, and you will receive”. Following the book’s instructions, I started out visualizing small things believing that it wouldn’t work. I sat on my towel on the beach and decided to focus my mind.

I visualized how great it would feel to have someone give me a cup of hot, delicious coffee. The first few times I tried it, I felt stupid, but with little else to do on that beach, I kept trying. After a few more attempts, I began to see the cup of coffee more clearly in my head. I could see the steam rising; I could smell the aroma. Two days later while sitting on the beach, one of the beach boys who handled the jet skis came up to me and said, “I’ve seen you several days here already, so I thought I could offer you a coffee. You look very tired.”

I Couldn’t Believe What Happened!

I couldn’t believe it! Not only had I manifested what I saw in my mind, but it was the best cup of coffee I’d had in a long time. Still skeptical but more curious, I decided I’d manifest lunch. I’d not eaten anything but noodles in weeks, and the thought of a good meal seemed like a massive windfall to me. When I closed my eyes and began the visualization exercise, I still felt silly. The first few times were awkward and stiff. With the memory of the coffee, I kept trying until I could feel myself eating it. A few days later, I bumped into an old colleague from the hotel. “Hi, Andres,” he said. “I have not seen you for a while. How are you? Let me buy you lunch!”

After a few more successful attempts, I started believing in the power of visualization. I now attribute a lot of my accomplishments to my ability to visualize my wants and goals. I’m baffled when I think that I didn’t initially believe in the tactic, but I’m glad that I eventually learned the lessons I needed from the book.

Now, You Try It!

Now, it’s your turn to read my book and prove my principles wrong. In the end, you may discount it all, but I welcome your correspondence on such claims. I will laugh because that’s what I thought when I first began my journey. Trying to debunk that knowledge led me to live a life most only dream of. So I challenge you! Go ahead, prove my eighteen principles wrong. I can’t wait to hear how they have changed your life forever too.
