Two of the most powerful words in the world are “I AM” because whatever you say after them defines you. Adding the words “I AM” in front of any positive word magnifies its power and manifests that feeling more quickly into reality. Since you speak directly with your soul, your spirit connects you directly with your subconscious and conscious mind. If you can feel it in your mind you can speak it into existence. However, that can also be true and have the opposite effect if you use negative words after “I AM”. You can also speak that emotion and negativity into existence. The great motivational speaker, Tony Robbins said that whatever comes after those words define your standards of who you are. Be careful and choose your words wisely.
Why “I AM”
International author, and speaker in the field of self-development, Wayne Dyer explains how through life we are conditioned in a way that we have created a mindset overflowing with “I am not”, using examples like “I am not smart” and “I am not good”. As they are repeated through developmental years and into adulthood, they become a core defining self-concept. Changing “I AM not” to “I AM” and placing positive self-talk after it allows you to change your worldview and your self-concept.

THE 18 PRINCIPLES TO SUCCESS
Fake it Until You Make it
Like anything you have been doing for a long time, it will take time to break the habit. Just like putting on weight, it will take time to change your habits and lose weight. In the words of the famous Bruce Lipton, a leader in bridging science and spirit, “The subconscious mind is a habit mind. And the most important thing about a habit mind is that you don’t want it to change very quickly, because otherwise, habits fall apart. So, it is resistant to change.”
How do you make it change? Through new habits and by setting goals in your life. Through the use of new “I AMs”. By paying close attention to what your “I AMs” are and making sure they fit the original “I AM” you want to become. Replacing “I AM no good” with “I AM AWESOME!” Or changing “I am lazy” to “I AM ENERGETIC!” will slowly begin to change your life.
Affirm it EVERYDAY
In my book, “ไม่มีที่อยู่อาศัยให้กับมหาเศรษฐี“, I talk about how daily affirmations changed my life and how I still use them today. Regular statements are critical for keeping your mood elevated, and your subconscious programmed with the right thinking and behavior to bring you closer to your deepest desires. Here are a few of my daily affirmations:
- I AM whole.
- I AM healthy.
- I AM happy.
- I AM wealthy.
- I AM helpful.
Sometimes, when I’m working on a big business project, I repeat these five focus points more than 100 times a day. This may seem silly to you or a waste of time, but I would ask you to consider that if you can control your mind, you can manage your life.

Feels Like More Work than Going to the Gym
Like anything, it takes commitment. However, the easiest way to stick with the plan is to display these affirmations throughout your home. Write them down, post them on walls, and next to your bed, so the words greet you first thing in the morning and seep into your subconscious right before you fall asleep. Whatever words you choose to place after the words “I AM,” are up to you, but choose wisely. You control your life because you control your thoughts. Make sure the next time you say “I AM” it leads you towards a more fulfilling life.
Are you ready to take control of your life with your positive affirmations? If this can work for me, it can work for you, too. It’s a ritual you must practice daily and train your mind into believing. Then I invite you to watch the magic unfold with the power of “I AM”!
