Have you ever looked at people who actively accomplish so much in the same 24 hours that you have and wondered how they do it? From where you are sitting, it might seem like these individuals have otherworldly powers that allow them to tick off their daily tasks at supersonic speeds. However, it is not as superhuman as you think it is.
If you find yourself moving mountains one day only to be exhausted the next day, know that It does not have to be this way! You can keep your energy levels high every single day. Here is how you do it:
1. Get a Good Night’s Sleep
This may seem like a no-brainer, but you would be surprised by the sheer number of people who disregard this rule. If you don’t get a decent number of hours to rest your mind and body at night, you will neither be efficient nor productive. In fact, you will feel as if all your energy was drained out of your body.
Here’s a little life hack! If you have a lot of work to do but are feeling weary, try taking a 30-minute nap. It will recharge you and give you a sneak peek into the wonders of a good night’s sleep!
2. Eat Healthily
Sometimes, when we are late for work, we tend to skip breakfast. Similarly, when we have too much work piled up on our desks, we tend to hit the nearest fast food joint for a sinful lunch. While the juicy beef burger and crispy fries may be comforting, they are not healthy. If you want to be energic throughout the day, you should have a hearty breakfast, a well-balanced lunch, and a light, but nutritious dinner. If you feel like snacking in between, opt for bananas or nuts.

3. Find Time to Exercise
As I explained in my book “Homeless to Billionaire: The 18 Principles of Wealth Attraction and Creating Unlimited Opportunity”, exercising is vital for success. Although it can be difficult to find time to work out with demanding jobs, it is not impossible. Try fitting in 50 push-ups before lunch or a 20-minute jog after work, right before dinner. Exercising increases circulation and strengthens heart muscles, consequently improving energy levels. If you make exercise a habit, you’ll feel more energetic every day!
4. Get Up & Move Around
No matter what kind of exercise or physical activity you decide to start, my best advice is never to give up. Life will always be busy. There is never a perfect time to start something new. It all comes down to just doing it, to make it a priority in your life, and keep the habit of practicing self-love. Put yourself first, if only to make sure you stay healthy and happy. Life will continue to change around you but never cut exercise from your life to save a little bit of time in your day. Remember, you don’t have to go to the gym every day. A simple walk home will be enough to keep you on the right path of improving yourself and succeeding in life.
Sitting in one position on your chair all day can tire your back, neck, wrists, eyes, and some other body parts, ultimately hampering energy levels. To prevent this, take a short break, get up, and move around every once in a while. You will notice that a healthy amount of breaks in between work keeps you in a good mood.
5. Go Home
If you think working longer means getting more done, you are wrong! According to an economics professor at Stanford, productivity per hour declines significantly when a person works more than 50 hours per week. After 55 hours, the productivity level hits a point of no return, and putting in any additional hours would be futile.
Working long hours not only affects productivity, but it also affects your energy levels. Instead of wasting your energy on pointless late nights at the office, save them for the next day when you are recharged.
In essence, your energy levels depend on your priorities. If you know what to prioritize and what not to prioritize, you will not waste any of your energy; you will have energy fuelling you every second of the day.
